| ZipWave
is a program for manipulating archive files. As a result you can add new files
and folders to already existing archives. 
Open
an existing archive. Press
the Add button from the ToolBar
or select the Add command from the Actions
menu. A files
selector will open letting your choose which files to add. On this window you
will also be able to set several Options. ZipWave
will add selected files to the archive, and then refresh the display to reflect
changes.
 TIPS | There
is several ways to add files or folders to an archive :- CONTEXT
MENUS:
If
this option is specified, ZipWave will insert
several commands to the Windows context menus (these menus appear when you right
click on a file or a folder). From these commands you should see something like
"Add to..." or "Add
to zip...". .. - DRAG'N
DROP :
ZipWave
enables drag'n dropping files. It means that you can add a file or a folder to
an archive, by drag dropping them to the archive document! In reverse, you
can also use this technique for extracting files.
|  TIPS | You
can use the Explorer Mode of ZipWave to
arrange files into an archive. You can drag'n drop a file to one of the
sub-folders of an archive for automatically adding this file at this place! |

When
adding files to an archive, ZipWave proposes the following options:

- ACTION
This
list displays the possible actions. You can chose one of the following actions: .- ADD
AND REPLACE
Adds
all selected files. If a file or more is already present in the archive, it will
be overwritten even if it's more recent than the one to add! . - UPDATE
Adds
files only if they are already present in the archive and if files to be added
are more recent. Files which are not already present in the archive are ignored
(not added). . - ADD
AND FRESHEN
Add
files only if they are not already present in the archive or if they are more
recent than existing archived files. .
- ADD
WITH WILDCARD
Instead
of selecting one by one all files, you can type a mask such as *.exe and press
this button. As a result ZipWave will add all files matching this mask. .. - PASSWORD
Opens
the Password Windows to let you input a password
for encrypting files. . - STORE
FILE NAMES IN 8:3 FORMAT
Tells
ZipWave to store file names in the old 8:3 format (known as short names). This
is the way file names are stored under DOS and earlier version of Windows. . - INCLUDE
SUB-FOLDERS
Specifies
to add also files and sub-folders. . - SAVE
CURRENT FOLDER NAME
Specifies
to save the name of the current folder.
Example: If
you are adding file "c:\chaosfx\programs\chaosfx.exe"
and if this option is not set the name "chaosfx.exe"
will be stored in the archive. But is you set this option, it will be "programs\chaosfx.exe"
which will be memorized.
- INCLUDE
ONLY IF ARCHIVE ATTRIBUTE IS SET
Adds
only files whose Archive attribute is set. . - RESET
ARCHIVE ATTRIBUTE
For
each added file, ZipWave will reset the Archive attribute. . - INCLUDE
SYSTEM AND HIDDEN FILES
Tells
ZipWave to also include system and hidden files.
