| ZipWave
is a complete program, with build in functions for almost everything. However,
for a small number of operations, it needs external programs.
ZipWave
can verify that an archive has been infected or not by a virus. Here you can
specify the antivirus to use for this operation (this program should already be
installed on your computer).
 NOTE | Antivirus
programs do not need to be able to handle archive files! ZipWave will do all
necessary operations so that they can work properly! |
- PATH
Specifies
the name and path of the antivirus program.
- PARAMETERS
Several
programs need a specific command line. Here you can input the adequate command
line and parameters to be pass to the program.
 TIPS | If
you do not know the command line for a program, ZipWave has pre-defined commands
lines for most common programs. Simply select in the list the program you want
to use, and ZipWave will retrieve the associated command line. | NOTE | ZipWave
does not have pre-defined command lines for all programs. So if you know the
command line which is not yet listed, feel free to contact Newave
. |
RETURN
One
of the most powerful function of ZipWave is the possibility to convert an
archive into a self-extracting one. As a result this converted file will be able
to extract its content without the need of a program! For creating such
archive, ZipWave proposes several options: - ZIPWAVE
: SELF-EXTRACTING
In this mode ZipWave creates itself the
self-extracting archive. When running the resulting file a window will
appear to asking to select a folder in which to extract the archive.
Self-extracting generated files are localized in French and English. This mean
that if the self-extracting archive is run under a French version of Windows the
screen interface and messages will be displayed in French, otherwise it will be
in English.
- BOOT
BLOCK
Here
you can specify an other boot block than the one of ZipWave. What does it mean?
In fact a self-extracting archive consist of an executable application which has
been concatenated with the archive itself. Here, the executable code is called
"boot block". This option lets you select an executable disk
file ZipWave will use for creating the self-extracting archive. You didn't
understood these explications?... So it means that this option is not for you
:-)
- OTHER
Finally
you can choose and other program for creating self-extracting archive.
RETURN
ZipWave
supports a wide range of most popular archive formats and has build in functions
for handling them. However, for several operation, such as adding, or deleting,
it needs external programs. Here you can specify where to find these programs on
your disk.
