    16. MANAGE OTHER FORMATS THAN ZIP

In spite of its name, ZipWave can manage a wide range of well-known archive formats! For most of them, ZipWave has build in functions which let it display the content of archives, and also extract them! For several archives formats, you will need an external program to manage them (e.g. LHA). Newave tried to make ZipWave functionality the most independent of archive type. However, there is some functions which can only be done on ZIP file, but most of operations can be made with all archives types!

    RETURN

    17. PRINT THE CONTENT OF AN ARCHIVE

ZipWave has a real printing mode which enables you printing the list of files contained in an archive. At any moment you can use the Print command from the File menu to print the listed files.

    TIPS
ZipWave uses the current display mode to print the content of an archive. This mean that if you are in All Files mode, ZipWave will print all files contained in the archive. However, in Images Mode, it will print the preview of the graphic files, and in both Explorer Mode and Search Mode only listed files will be printed.

    RETURN

    18. INSTALL THE CONTENT OF AN ARCHIVE

If ZipWave detects a install.exe or setup.exe file into an archive, then, the Install command is enabled. This command lets you automatically install the content of an archive without needing to unpack it! ZipWave temporarily unpack the content of the archive, and then runs the installation program!

But that's not all! If an archive contains several installation programs, it doesn't matter! Depending of the current viewing mode, if only one program is visible, then ZipWave automatically chooses this one. Otherwise, in the case several programs are visible at the same time, simply select (click one time on the program name) the one you want to use and ZipWave will do the rest for you! And in the same kind of idea, ZipWave only unpack the sub-folder in which is the installation program and note the whole archive!
