The last page of WinMaster contains a lot of functions to help you customize the Windows screen interface.

Newave makes no warranties about these functions. Some of them may not work depending of installed system files. Other will only take effect at next Windows startup.

• Recycle Bin :
  The following options concern the appearance of the Windows recycled bin

  • Change (Empty) :
    Change the icon for the recycle bin when it is empty (no file deleted).
    .
  • Change (Full) :
    Same as preciously excepting that here you can change the icon for a full recycle bin (almost one file deleted).

  • Name :
    Specify the name of the recycle bin.
    .
  • Reset :
    Restore Windows default settings for the recycle bin.
    .
  • Apply :
    Apply modifications.
    .
• Menus :
  Options concerning the opening of menus.
  .
  • Menu Show Delay :
    Amount of millisecond between the moment you click on a menu and the moment it effectively opens.
    .
  • Left Alignment :
    Enable or disable left alignment of menus.
    .
  • Apply :
    Validate changes.
    .
• Misc. :

  • Windows animation :
    Enable or disable window minimization animation.
    .
  • Font smoothing :
    Enable or disable screen fonts smoothing.
    .
  • Fast Task Switching :
    Enable or disable fast task switching (does not work on all Windows version).
    .
  • Improve icons colors :
    Display icons using 256 colors. By default, icons can only be displayed in 16 colors.

  • Big icons :
    Enable or not using icon from different size than Windows default one.
    .
  • Show Windows Tips :
    Enable or disable showing Windows tips at startup.
    .
  • Edit tips :
    Open the Tips Editor. This window lets you modify Windows tips text.

  • Display Shortcut arrow :
    Enable or disable the small arrow which appears in the left bottom corner of shortcut files.
    .
    • Change :
      Let you choose a different icon.

  • Drag full windows :
    Allow you to move a window with its content and not only its frame
    .
  • Warning Beep :
    Enable or disable the "Beep" used to inform the user of a specific event.
    .
  • Wrap icon titles :
    Enable or disable wrapping icons' titles when they are too long to fit entirely on a single line.
    .
  • Show the icon for BMP files as a mini-picture of itself :
    Replace icons of BMP files by a representation of the enclosed picture. This can be very useful to quickly find a specific picture (in that case, it's recommended to use the 256 colors icons options).
    .
  • Reset :
    Restore default settings.
    .
  • Apply :
    Apply changes
